In fact you could expand this to be able to even filter by invoice number or whatever criteria that you wished to have included on your statement. For the purpose of this project I’ve chosen to filter by customer name and between to date periods. We have five controls here to help us1. Hi Trevor,I have got problem with the:Data validation for range E19:E49=OFFSET(Products!$E$5,MATCH($D19,CategoryFull,0),0,COUNTIF(CategoryFull,$D19),1)I use 2007. I tried many thing to make it work but its just not happening. Only this issue what I have so far.1 more thing! On the Invoice page C9:J9 where can I find the formulas.

I am pretty sure, that some easy formula goes there like C9: =IF(J130, J13, ')the only reason why I looking for your formulas, because I don't want to mess it up. Hi Atilla,How are you? Greetings Mike,I will try to address your issues one at a time.1.The #NAME error that you are getting is probably being caused by copying the formula from the website and then pasting it directly into the cell. You need to select the cell first and then paste the formula into the formula bar or type in the formula into the cell.

The other reason a name error could occur is if the named range that the formula is referring to is not set properly. You can check your named range from the name manager see if it is working.2.Your second issue is with regard to the cascading data validation. This is a comment I’ve taken from the website that may help you.(In versions of Microsoft Excel prior to 2010 you would need to create a static named range for the first reference in cell E5. If you are using Microsoft Excel 2007 then you will need to change the reference to a static named range.)=OFFSET(Products!$E$5,MATCH($D19,CategoryFull,0),0,COUNTIF(CategoryFull,$D19),1)3.New stock is added from a macro called AddStock that references a named range called “AddStock”.Set SrcRng1 = Sheet5.Range('AddStock')SrcRng1.CopyDstRng.PasteSpecial xlPasteValuesCheck this named range in the name manager and then rerun the macro.4.Level2 and Levels3 are the names of the macrosI hope these comments help you Mike. It is a good idea to work your way through each one and not move on until you have resolved each issue as many of these are inter-dependent.Best wishesTrevor.

Hi Manish,In versions of Microsoft Excel prior to 2010 you would need to create a static named range for the first reference in cell E5. If you are using Microsoft Excel 2007 then you will need to change the reference to a static named range.=OFFSET(Products!$E$5,MATCH($D19,CategoryFull,0),0,COUNTIF(CategoryFull,$D19),1)So if you create a named range for E5 called Cascade then the formula would read=OFFSET( Cascade,MATCH($D19,CategoryFull,0),0,COUNTIF(CategoryFull,$D19),1)TutorialBest wishesTrev. Hi Murali,The completed projects have all of the formulas and macros. However it is best to work your way through the projects and learn how they are created so that you will be in a better position to change them to suit your needs. If you need so,help contact me from the contact form on the website.I think this project is for Office 2010 and 2013 and needs a couple of changes for 2007.It is not a project for beginners to tackle. There are other more basic projects that are better suited to those starting out in learning VBA.My best wishesTrev. Hello,Thank you so much for this tutorial!

I have completed almost through step four, but I have run into a couple of problems. On the 'Products' sheet the buttons to toggle 'Run Quick Pick' and 'Add New Product,' I am unable to press them. When I do, it just highlights the 'Format' tab. I do not see any macros to assign to these buttons as well in my list. The only macros I have available to assign are:Clear InvoiceCopyCellsCopyTo.ItemsPrintPDFInvoiceSheet3.MoveitUpdateYour help is appreciated.Thanks,Tamara. Dear TrevorI have put together the invoice and stock management and its working perfectly. I would like to say i have added macros to even post the various details on the invoice in an invoice register after creation. I have also added a receipt and a macro to post the receipt details in a Receipt log.My only challenge is that i want to find out if there is a way/ macro to have different pricing for cash sale from that of a customer sale.

Maybe cash sale pricing would be about 10% more than that of customer sale.Secondly how about being able to enter just the name of a onetime customer who wants his name to be on the invoice.Thirdly, can i have a macro that can post some of the details on the invoice to a waybill.Counting on your usual cooperation. Hi Trevor,Greetings from Ireland! What a fantastic workbook, it is so helpful and fun to learn this way. I was wondering if you might be able to help me. In relation to the ability to create a new Category on the Products page I was trying to find a way to capture the 'new' category if created and update the 'Categories' list. I have worked out that it is the data validation that allows this but that happens behind the scenes. I was wondering if before the sales list was sorted is there a way to compare the unique 'Category' entries in the 'Products' list to the 'Categories' list?? I would really appreciate your thoughts.ThanksPeter.
